A bright flash lit the room as Altan appeared and looked around quickly before sinking into a deep bow before a man sittign on a throne. "I have returned, but I am afraid that not everything has gone according to your plan," he said as he moved closer to the man on the throne and knelt before him to await his judgement.
His eyes flashed then and he looked up at the fairy king as the other approached and touched two fingers to his forehead, allowing his other, more managable half out.
"Why did you bring me back?" he asked, his voice sounding rather small and almost childlike in the great hall as he stared at the fairy man with pleading golden eyes filled with confusion, sadness, and dispair. "I don't belong here...I can't...I...." he paused and looked away, tearws forming in his eyes as he did so.

The concil had ended their meeting and Zane had just returned to the throne room to await a formal ceremony that was soon to take place, when Altan appeared before him and gave his report.
His brow furrowed slightly after the report had been given and he beckoned the other to approach, then reached out to touch his forehead gently after he had and expelling his power into Altan and removing the barriers that blocked him from the outside world...that blocked him from feeling.
Altan may have prided himself in being able to shut himself off from the world and the silly emotions that other felt, but if that was so, then Zane prided himself on being able to bring back the other Altan Kazimir, the fragile one.
Frowning at the other's outburst and then the trailing off and then reacting to the pain in Altan's eyes, he vacated his throne with a sigh and moved to kneel beside the oter, wrapping his arms around him.
"You live because it is not yet your time to parish. Altan, you know you cannot escape your destiny," a slight pause then. "Please, let me help you," he said then. He hated seeing the sadness, the brokenness there in the others eyes, the haunted pained look had always bothered him, especially aince he had started to think of the wizard as a son of sorts since he had found him that day not all that many years ago.

((nice spelling Angi...concil...XD))
Altan withdrew withn himself and found that the emotionless being that was his other self, was nowhere to be found. Though he highly doubted he would have done any better that way. At any rate, like a child, he was contented to slip from the other's grasp and rest his head on the fairy king's lap, letting his eyes drift shut as fingers threaded through his hair and the man he now recognized in this form as his guardian and pseudo parent, channeled comforting emotions to him to calm him down, before weaving a spell of sleep over him.
He knew this to be the case as he felt his conciousness slipping from him slowly and a clear feeling of floating that oft accompanied his dreams, however, before he was completely lost to those dreams he murmured a soft thank you.

Ally twirled in circles running in the plains. "Selei.. SELEI!" she called out to her small green dragon.
An emerald shape could be spotted through the pale blue skies whizzing towards the half-Elf, and Ally lifted her thumb in delight, petting the miniature being as he landed on her hand.
"Where is he Seel? I need to find him, he needs me to help him," Ally explained quietly to the green dragon, still stroking it's back with her long pinky nail.

Zane weaved a spell that granted a peaceful rest over the wizard who had childishly curled up in his lap before comfortingly running his hands through Altan's hair and projecting comfrot towards him so as to aid the spell as it would have little effect if the other decided to fight it for any reason.
"This is what I get for taking ins trays," he murmured to the empty air, knowing that, under the spell, his latest servant would remain asleep no matter what he said. Then, looking down at his fingers as he ran his fingers through the short white hair he shook his head, smiling softly at his own sentimentality.
"I'll deliver you safely when the time is right, I promise you Altan...just wait a little longer, and try to open your heart to those around you," he said as he moved his other hand so that two finger gently touched the other's forehead and projected these words into his dreams as his wings shimmered behind him, stilling as the soft white glow remained as he held his fingers there, making sure the wizard's dreams were indeed peaceful, for he deserved them to be.

Rini was behind Ally, weaving silently through the tall grass. She popped up behind Ally, Niki near her. "Are we almost there?" She asked. Then she saw the dragon. "OH, he's cute" She said smileing. "He would be fun to chase.... hmm... tag." She said, grinning at her freind. Having a slight burden lifted from her chest, she was closer to her carefree self. She smiled at her fellow halfing. "Your it!" She said, pouncing her freind.

Ally started to laugh, before she heard a rustle and stopped dead in her tracks, silencing her friends as well.
"Did you hear that?" she mouthed at them wildly, but she could tell that they had no idea what she was saying.
The half-Elf crept closer to the bushes, trying to find the source of the shaking and slight footsteps.
"AHA! GOTCHA!" Ally screamed, yanking a squirming fairy from inside the bushes.

The fairy squirmed within Ally's grasp before finally calling out for help, mentally cursing itself for not changing itself to a larger size when it had heard her approach....but then again the little female had hardly expected to be caught. "Lord Zane, Lord Zane help me," she cried out first aloud and then in her mind, hoping to evoke a response from him.
Hearing the call for help, the protector and lord of the realm of fairies frowned, and took a look down at Altan. He couldn't leave the other unguarded in this state, but nor could he let a young fairy in distress be unheeded, and so he did the next best thing, and a moment later, an astral projection of the fairy lord's form, appeared before Ally. "Unhand her, she has done you no wrong," he said calmly but commandingly.

Ally stared at the fabled fairy lord and dropped the fairy to the ground, her jaw open.
"I'm sorry!" she squeaked out. "I'm just looking for Altan Kazimir, and I heard sounds and grabbed the thing making sounds--"
Ally's babble was cut off, and she stared innocently at the ground.

The man seemed rather understanding for one who had just found one of his own havng been momentarily captured, even if nothing had been meant by it. His astral form moved over to the fairy girl, and she flew up to him, allowing him to whisper something to her before she smiled brightly, nodded, and flew off in the opposite direction.
He then turned to face the intruders and smiled slightly, though it was a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes which remained filled with a deep rooted sadness. "It's quite alright, and as for Altan, he is here...." he paused, looked her over, seemingly hesitant about something before he made up his mind. "He isn't fit for visitors right now, but if ever you needed to find him, he dwells now within my throne room," he said as his form wavered before regaining itself only to flicker from existance in the next moment and return to his body, which was still body, part of which was still being used as Altan Kazimir's pillow.
He looked down once again at the sleeping wizard and let out an exasperated sigh. "You're more trouble than you're worth sometimes," he told his unconcious companion. He then leaned back and waited for Ally to arrive, sure that at least she would come regardless of whether he had deemed Altan fit for company or not, especially since he had revealed the wizard's location.

"Well, what are you standing here for? COME ON!" Ally screamed, running as fast as she could towards the fairy palace.
The three reached it at about the same time, and Ally jumped the steps two at a time, barging into the courtroom and marching up to a guard.
"I need to speak with Altan Kazimir and the fairy lord, he has allowed me permission to come," Ally spoke smoothly, lying through her teeth.
She shook off the lie and smiled sweetly at the guard as he grunted and let her and Niki and Rini pass.
With a timid knock on the door to the throne room, Ally waited for the royal fairy to open the door and possibly let her speak to Altan himself.

The guard fairy's nodded to her lie and one even cracked a smile. "Yes we know, our Lord had told us that you would be arriving soon," said the one who wasn't smiling as he stepped aside to let her pass. Then one vanished and reappeared to open the door to the throne room. She even shot her lord and master a strange look as she peered into the room and saw him sitting on the floor and looked caring but rather undignified in her opinion, with a wizard's head resting in his lap.
"My Lord the girl is here," the little fairy said. She looked as though she were only 10 years of age or so, when in reality she was about 427, but who was counting? At any rate she then added, "I do wonder about the company you keep sometimes my lord," she said and sounded genuinely worried before sighing and vanishing, allowing Ally access to the chamber.

Ally shyly walked into the chamber, her hands clasped behind her back. As soon as she spotted the lord, she began apologizing profusely.
"I'm sorry, I just had to see him, I'm sorry, it won't happen again, I'm really--"
Once again, he cut her off mid-ramble, and she laughed weakly before catching sight of a Wizard lying on the floor, tear stains on his cheeks.
Gasping, Ally rushed to the body and stared at him, before saying just above a whisper:
"Brother?"

Zane's gzae went from the man who's head was resting upon his lap to Ally and he smiled as she rushed over. It was a kind, craing smile, one that a ruler of anything wouldn't have been expeted to be capable of under such circumstances. "So you're his sister, good, he needs a relative who cares to help him through this, I grow too weary to care for him through my magic for much longer," he said in an apologetic tone with a hint of sadness mized in.

Ally smiled weakly. "Yeah, too bad he refuses to admit that he knows me.. He seems to have locked himself up inside a shell, and I need to get that to break free so that he can accept me. I just realized who he was today, in Elf camp."
Dropping her eyes from the understanding ones of Zane, Ally continued. "I'm half-wizard, half-elf. Does that make me a misfit? Where should I be fighting-- alongside halflings, or alongside fairies? I don't know what to do anymore, and now that I have found Altan, I need to protect him, and the Elves would think that he was a spy. What should I do? Should I change my identity to Alanna Kazimir? Should I try to take him back to camp? Or should I abandon the war forever and try to help him back to what he used to be? Please, please help me.."
