Naridi swiftly moved up the stairs, keeping in mind her message for King Zane. She reached the top step, took a breath, then walked in the doorway to the king's throne.

A Fairy leaned against the marble pillars next to the doorway, speaking right before the other girl entered the room.
"He's not going to give it to you know," Kaori Tayan said lazily just before yawning loudly and streching. "There's no point in trying Ridi, really. Why would he give permission to three ragtag Fairies, eh? He'll listen, sure. He's fair. But he won't give us anything."
Draping her arm loosely around her friend, Rae pointed at the closed door. "In there lies power, but once power knows about plans, it won't be pretty. It's a war, he's not going to lose three Fairies to the enemy! He'll keep an eye on all of us if you tell him."

Ridi stopped in the doorway and turned her head towards the fairies. "Thanks for the input, but that's only part of my scheme." She walked towards them and leaned in. "You see, I spotted some human scouts in the wood, and I figure if I get his trust again, he'll ease up on the idea of helping the elves in one cause." She raised her arms and stretched upward, her wings fluttering as well.

A Vampire infiltrator, one Ginza, sneakily crept through the shadows of the room where the Fairy's were arguing. He smiled slightly, for Kirsdarke wanted the other races to fight amongst themselves, so that the Vampires might rise to power once more. However... finding dead Fairy's in their own tower might cause war between the races allied against the Vampires... if it wasn't obviously a Vampire killing. He leapt out, and a repeating crossbow leapt into his hands, aimed at Ridi.

Aiko had remained silent during the arguement, not wanting to give anything away that she knew... being the princess. She was happy to partially be herself around these two. The fairy smiled at the two's argueing. She had managed to sneak out from her bed chamber into the main hall, where ANYTHING could be. She was usually required to stay in the family quarters, for her 'protection' apparnatly.
Her deep blue orbs spotted a swift movement in the darkness, the fairy could have sworn she saw a flash of white... or a deathly gray. Then it emerged, aiming a crossbow and one of the argueing fairys, who she had come to know as 'Ridi'. "WATCH OUT!" She cried, pushing the two fairies to the ground as the arrow whizzed by.
Aiko breathed heavily, she had been ALL of herself for a moment, it had felt good to be momentarily free. Then the young princess returned to her shy self, her eyes locked onto the figure she now recognized as a vampire.

Ginzo recognized the Fairy Princess from his briefing, and leapt into action. He drew a dirk, and quickly moved forward, next to Aiko. He roughly grabbed her, and pressed the dirk against her vulnerable neck. He grinned slightly, and backed away, still holding the dirk against Aiko's throat, pulling her back with him.
He knew they couldn't do anything, for then he would kill the Princess. The Emperor would enjoy it if he brought her back, but well, he didn't care that much.

Aiko screamed as the vampire pressed something agaist her neck. "WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME!?!" She cried frantically. "I'M- I'M JUST A NOBODY!" She stammered, trying to break free from the vampires clutches. Unfortunatly she wasn't that strong, and her weak attempts did nothing but frustrate the young fairy. "Let me go!" She cried hopelessly, fighting back tears.

"Unfortunately for you, you are not a nobody, you're the Princess of the Fairies. So, I'm not going to let you go, I'm going to take you back to the Human Empire." Ginzo said, smirking. To the other two Fairies, he said, "And you can tell King Zane that the humans took his daughter. I don't care much, as I'm just a little operative that nobody cares about!" With that parting note, he began to leave the tower, keeping the dirk at Aiko's neck. It wouldn't do for anyone to attack him or stop him, so keeping her as a hostage assured his health. For the time being, anyways.

"AIKO!" Kaori screamed, running towards her friend with huge green eyes. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER?! SHE'S JUST A TOWNSFOLK LIKE ME! LET GO OF HER!!"

"I am taking her away," Ginzo said tiredly. In a suddenly sharp tone, he said, "If you move one step closer, I'll cut her throat!" He pressed the dirk harder, so a drip of blood appeared. He quickly moved backward, still holding Aiko tightly. "Come along, little Fairy girl," he addressed Aiko, and they abruptly vanished. ((dark magic, they can turn invisible for short periods of time))

Kaori leapt forward, scrabbling at air.
"AIKO! NO!" the Fairy screamed, wailing in despair. "WHY? WHY HER OF ALL PEOPLE?!"
Suddenly hearing a voice in front of her, Kaori looked through blurred tears to see feet close to her right knee.
"Aiko is not a normal Fairy young one." The voice's emotions were undecipherable, and Kaori became instantly confused.
"What? What do you mean?!" Rae whispered, paling at this news. What hadn't Aiko told her?
"I'm sorry you had to find this out from me.. But Aiko is the Princess of all Fairies."

After the words left her mouth, Ally stared down at her friend in regret and sadness.
"I'm sure she had a reason for not telling you Rae.. I didn't get here fast enough to help you save her.. I'm so sorry.. Where do you want to look for her?" the Elf said gently, placing a hand on the usually so energetic girl's shoulder.

Ginzo dragged Aiko on, out of the Fairy castle, out of the city, where they abruptly reappeared. After several miles, they reached a secluded grove, where a black Wyvern perched on top of a tree, head thingyed, looking at Aiko with a hungry curiousity. "Now, now, Shtacki, no Fairy to eat right now..." he said, with love in his voice. He dragged Aiko up onto the saddle, and then leapt up into it himself. "Aicho!" he cried out sharply, and Shtacki leapt into the air.

Ridi opened her eyes after being pushed to the ground. As she came to her feet, she looked around to see Rae, and Kaori, who was on the ground with an...elf? Naridi quietly walked over to their sides. "What happened?"

Shtacki flew overhead, Southeast, to the Vampire Territory. They flew on for many miles, thankfully in peace, because Ginzo had knocked Aiko out, so that she wouldn't alert anybody. As they floated from air current to air current, Shtacki saw a gryphon flying, far out in the distance. He roared out his challenge, and swiftly overtook the gryphon.
When they reached it, the gryphon screeched its own battlecry, and stooped down at Shtacki, Ginzo, and Aiko. All Ginzo's efforts at turning Shtacki back ended up being useless. The gryphon impacted against Shtacki's hard, black scales, and the wyvern's tail whipped up, lightning fast, and plunged into the gryphon's side, and undulating bump oozing through it, finally ending up inside of the gryphon.
The gryphon screamed in pain, and backwinged off of Shtacki, pushing him lower, and raked him. Aiko attempted to fire his crossbow at it, but the air currents knocked it off course. The gryphon suddenly leapt up into the air, then dived down, at over 100 mph, crashing into Shtacki, knocking them both earthward.
The two mortal enemies, locked in combat, claws scratching, drawing blood in dozens of places, plummuted down. Realizing that the two creatures were locked in a death-grip, Ginzo gracefully leapt off of Shtacki's back, about 10 feet before they hit the ground, pulling Aiko with him. The two behemoths crashed into the earth, and the Vampire and Fairy were knocked back onto the ground, both their breaths knocked out.
Ginzo sighed, then said to himself, "Guess will be staying here for a few days." As you should know, and if you don't, I am informing you now, the tail of a Wyvern has two functions; injecting poison into an enemy, or implanting an egg into an enemy. The lump in Shtacki's tail was an egg, so Ginzo had to wait until it was safe to carry the egg. Wyvern eggs needed a host body, but after the initial few days, they could survive without it for several hours, but afterwards, must be put in a living or dead creature, so that it could feed. Wyverns aren't much well liked by other creature, sentient or not, as I am sure you can guess.
