Jesse Bokura walked quietly down the worn path leading to a near by village. He sighed. I don't want to go be social.. but I need to get supplies... He thought, his stomache rumbleing. I hope theres at least a cheap in... He thought as he came up to the village gate.
"WHO GOES THERE?!?!" Called a guard.
"Just a passing Wizard!" Jesse shouted up. The gates were opened with no more conversation, and he was off.
His green eyes travelled around the busy streets, making note of important shops he may need later.

Elena walked briskly down the dirt path, worn by the many village people that had passed over it many times before her. Her glance shifted from one road to another leading off of the path, as she held four large loafs of bread in her arms. Every Sunday she came to get bread, and always seemed to struggle carrying them back home. As the day had grown later, more of the villagers had come out to shop. She then remembered the last time she had been out for bread, that someone stepped on the hem of her dress and gave it a terrible rip, so she tried to hold it up, along with the bread bags. Of course, she failed to do so, and stumbled over a small pothole in the road, and fell to the hard, tamped ground.

Jesse heard a crash to his right, and snapped his head in the appropiate diretion. He saw a beautiful young blonde girl, who had unfortunatly fallen on the ground. She looks like she needs help... He thought, surveying her poor predicament. Bread on the ground, hem torn.
He glared at the other Wizards who paid her no mind, to caught up in there own world. I geuss I have to help her.. He thought, crossing the busy street and walking towards the girl. "Need help?" He asked, picking up a warm loaf of bread, now patched with dirt.

Elena's eyes popped open. SHe turned her head to see a young man, maybe 19 hovering over her. She opened her mouth to speak, and her jaw did move, but no sound came out. She brought herself up to stand, and then realized that most of the bread was still on the ground. Three out of the four loafs were out of their bags and scuffed up with dirt. "Thanks," she managed to squeak out, after picking up two loarfs and struggling to pick up the last. She wasn't used to people doing things for her, and it made her feel really akward. Obviously, he wasn't getting this. Her hand sprawled out on the ground as she finally grapped the loaf, and the other two fell on the ground next to the third.

Jesse let a small laugh emerge from his lips. "Here, let me get that." He said, smileing. He brought up the loaves and handing them to her. "I don't think I caught your name yet, Miss. I'm Jesse, Jesse Bokura." He said, smileing warmly.
She's cute... looks a little on the clueless side. Haha. He thought, laughing in his mind. Will she need help carrying these? He wondered, glancing at her skirt. She probably will... He thought.. unaware that what he was doing could be considered 'checking out'

"um," she sputtered, "I'll get it." She bent over to get two loaves, stepping on the hem of her skirt. She stumbled again, squishing one loaf and another partway. "Oh gosh," she murmured, pushing herself up with her hands. The green ribbon that held her hair back was now against the bridge of her nose, and a smudge of dirt lay on her left cheek.

Jesse smiled. It's kinda cute when she's all klutzy like that.. He thought, smiling. "Well hello um oh gosh." He said, offering a white hankerchief.
He smiled. "Now, whats your real name?" He asked politely, holding some loaves of bread in his strong arms.

She looked up at this Jesse fellow and reached out for the hankerchiek, then sat up. "Elena," she replied as she wiped the brown smudge off of her cheek. "Elena Soba." She then stood up and handed him back the now dirty hankie. Quickly realizing that she still had her ribbon on her nose, she pulled the tie and let it go loose, then tied it around her wrist. "Well, at least the bread'll be of some good still," she told him as she bent over and picked up the tattered sourdough, and tossed them over to a flock of pigeons resting on a patch of grass.

"Do you need help carrying it?" He asked politely, smileing his usual kind smile.
He offered his hand to take some more bread, awaiting the girls reply. I wonder what will come of this.... He thought absently. He breathedin the fresh air, unpoluted like the human territory was. He glanced over towards the potion shops and other magical items. This is definatly a Wizard town...

"Well, I think that what you're holding is all that we can salvage. And.." Elena turned back in the direction of the Bread Shop as she paused. "I won't be able to pick up a fresh loaf for a few days. A lot of business lately, I guess." She looked down at the ground, then back at Jesse. "So what brings you to town? I mean, if you're not from here. It's just that, I know almost everyone in this village, and I don't think I've seen you."

"Oh... just passing through. You know, gather supplies. I don't spend much time in towns... I don't really like the atmosphere." He admitted. ''You live here all the time, I assume. What's it like? This town doesn't deal with humans much.... correct?" He asked, not sure if this was dangerous territory to talk about.
His lips curled up slightly. This was one of the few people who treated him with kindness... not as a hermit.

"Well, she replied, "I do live here. We do dabble with the human folk here and there, but not as often as we used to. It's peaceful most of the time, because the Fairy folk have been doing a lot of the battling lately, and that has been more with the vampires either way." She looked up at him and made eye contact. "If you're looking for an inn, there are a few down this road for small nightly fees." She informed.

He grimaced. "Unfortunatly I only have enough money mainly for supplies..." He said annoyed. "Some bandit elected to releive me of a bag of money." He explained as they walked along the beaten path. He sighed. "I geuss I'll just set up my tent as usual." He said smileing.

She stopped walking and turned to him. "A tent? Though it does sound nice to be..one with nature, trust me, I know about that, the weather doesn't seem happy." She looked up at the grey sky. "What kind of supplies do you need?" she inquired. "Name it, and I've probably got it somewhere around my cottage."

He blinked. "Uh.. you know. The usual stuff... Food... water.... clothes. I don't want to be a burden..." He admitted softly. He looked up to the girls calm eyes. "If you really want to I suppose I don't mind." He said softly.
