"Well," she replied, "The butcher just gave me too much meat..and I have a small garden behind my home that you can get some nourishment from too. Now let's see...There's also a well that my father and I share with the neighbors, and..we might have some clothes that'll do you over..back from before my father was..well, robust."

The town bells chimed, alerting all that it had now struck 4 O'Clock. "Oh, I'm sorry," she apologized suddenly, "But I need to go. You have enough money to stay at the inn for one night?" Before he could answer she continued. "Good. Maybe we will meet again?" And abruptly she started off down the path to the woods at a fast pace.

Jesse blinked. "No! Wait!" He said, running after her. "YOUR BREAD!!" He called, trying desperatly to keep up with the girl, while at the same time blancing loafs of bread.
Why did she flip out when it was four? He wondered, trying desperatly not to lose sight of the blonde girl's long hair.
