Rini followed, Altan's limp body now on her back again. Dang, he's heavy. What has he been eating? She wondered, her claws making quiet clicks on te marble floor. It's so amazing, I don't feel worthy to be here... She thought, gazing in aww at the paintings and sculptures. She let out another howl, in reality and in her mind. Lord Zane, where are you?

Zane was slightly startled at the spped with which the materializzation happened after his message had been recieved. However, he had no time to wonder or question it as they spilled out onto the cold marble floor of his private study and he rushed over to them, falling to his knees beside Zane.
"I see, so it is true," was all he'd said. In trth he'd been hoping against hope that it hadn't been, that the reply had been exaggerated, and now he saw that it was not. Altan was barely hanging by a thread now. His brows knit in thought, and his expression suddenly smoothed and calm, the worry vanishing from both his face and his eyes in that moment.
"I shall do all that it is in my power to do," he told them, as he reached within himself, into the copper and white fire that was his magic.
He then reached out a hand and gently laid it on Altan's forehead, murmuring something in a strange, melodic language that held strange accents and rolling cadences. When he finished speaking his eyes seemed to mist over, but other than that, nothing seemed outwardly to happen.
Inwardly however, he was truly aloud to enter that darkness. The very darkness in which Altan currently floated with his two selves, where he was near to agreeing to leaving the world, knowing that there ws no other choice for him now.
"Altan!" he called out, voice almost frantic as he floated closer and took the hand that the young Altan wasn't holding. "Altan, you must return, it is not yet your time... and Ally needs you," he said softly, his voice evening out as he expanded his senses into this dark, thin reality. He would have to heal Altan both inside and out if he were to bring him back to the world of the living...heal his body and his soul at the exact same moment in time....or else it would not work and he would be lost to them.

Ally stared at the process, her eyes huge. Both seemed to be within themselves, and she could tell that they were conversing somehow.
Glancing over at Rini, she noticed the halfling had her eyes closed and seemed to be whispering. Not wanting to disturb her friend, Ally continued concentrating on her brother and Zane, praying that both would make it out alive.

Rini watched with antisipation. Altan, you jerk, come back! I won't let you hurt Ally like this! She thought angriliy, lieing down on the cold floor, exhausted from carrying the heavy man. She closed her eyes, trying to regains ome energy, trying to pull Altan back.
Suddenly she was in a black abyss. Rini didn't understand why, or how. Shefrnaticallly searched thearea, then noticed one, no, two familiar figures, and a boy. "Zane? Altan?" She whispered. She was in her human form now, which made her uncomfortable. She was cold without her warm fur. "Where am I?" She asked quietly.

Altan's eyes widened as first Zane and then Rini appeared, and he briefly wondered what they were doing theye, had they died as well? He frowned at the thought as Zane took his hand and tried to what? Coax him back to the land of the living? Did Zane seriously think that he'd rather b lay in dark death and fall to the great sleep of eternity, rather than be alive, protection those few people who he cared about in the world.
"I would if I could," he said angrily. "There is no way out," the anger faded in the next moment, replaced by a bleak hopelessness.

Rini blinked. WHAT! I'M NOT GETTING OUT OF HERE!?!?! I DON'T WANT TO BE IN HERE FOREVER! IT'S COLD!!! She thought angrily, her short skirt flowing in a small breeze. Where did that come from? She wondered, trying to hold her skirt down. She groaned as the cold made her legs shiver, but she tried to ignore it.

Ally began to panic as she watched her friend disappear into the unconcious mind that Altan and Zane were in. She gulped-- there was one choice left.
She squeezed her eyes shut and her whole world was swallowed by the blackness.
Ally saw Zane, Altan, and Rini staring at her. "What is going on?" she demanded, looking from one to the other.
A heat wave washed over the figure, and she winced at how excruciatingly hot it was.
"God, is this place always so warm?!" she cried out.
Noticing Rini's stare, she met it with one of equal confusion. "Aren't you hot?"

The two girls had both appeared and Zane swore. Then, when that unusual little outburst had gotten his attention he gaze at them, frowning. "I need you two to return to the surface, to the world beyond, I must use you a conduits to heal him without, even as my spirit resides her to heal him from within...It is the only way," he told them. Hopefully they'd manage to drift out as easily as they had drifted in. Though he wondered how to girls with obviously no training in soul transfer and dreamscaping, could have managed to get here in the first place.

"NO!" Ally screamed out fiercely, glaring at Zane. "This is MY brother! I can help him if I can only speak with him! Trust me, I can!"
Swimming through the blackness towards Altan, Ally's face transformed into one of pain and concern. "Altan, listen to me," she urged quietly, staring her brother in the eye. "You need to come back. You aren't ready to go. Daith needs you to help us defeat the humans. Rini needs to repay her debt. Zane needs to not feel helpless."
Ally's eyes suddenly filled with silver tears. "I need you to survive."

Rini watched, shivering. It's so cold.. why is ally hot? she wondered, following her freind. "You can't leave Altan..." She said softly, glareing at him with her deep red eyes. "You have buisness to attend to." She said softly, her ears flattened against her head, trying to keep her warm, and her tail attempting the same.

Ally could feel her friend behind her shivering uncontrollably, but she didn't turn. Her eyes couldn't leave her brother's if she wanted this to work.
"Rini, it's so damn hot here.. Why are you cold?!" Ally called incredulously to her friend.

"I don't know." She said, her teeth chattering. She longed for her warm wolf fur, but for some reason she couldn't transform. She truly just wanted to go home, have this all end, but she knew, in her heart of hearts, that she, Ally, Niki, and Altan had an important roll in the future of Daith.

Ally didn't respond, just stared deeply into Altan's golden eyes. She needed this to work.
Gently reaching out for her brother's hand, she began to chant something that came to her. Something told her that it would work to get them out of here.
"Hasina turay.. Hasina tudanera, Hasina turay.." Ally repeated, her brother's leathery hand firm in hers.
She began chanting faster and faster until with a flash, she and Altan disappeared.

Altan watched them silently, almost impassively. He didn't wish for any of them to be stuck here with him, but he knew that to get out, he would have to trust them, to let them aid hm, and so he nodded to Zane, and, stepping forward, he let go of the young boys hands and clasped Zane's otheer hand, waiting for the transfer.
It was highly unlikely that this wa going to work, but if anyone could pull it off, then the fairy lord could, and with the support of the two girls...it just might be possible.
He felt power surge through him, fellt his spirit being lifted and floating, although he knew he had not moved, and then suddenly a painful shock ran through him, and his eyes snapped open. No longer was there darkness, but now he lay on something cold and hard, his eyes trained on what looked to be a ceiling, as Zane knelt over his, covering his body with a powerful purple and white aura. The warm cacoon of energy caused him to sigh, it felt wonderful, though he felt bad for having left the others in the dark place....but he trused Zane to help them find their way back.
Little did he knew, that in actuality, it had been Ally who had saved his soul from within, while Zane saved his body from without.

Ally swirled around in darkness, finally screeching to a halt and slamming against cold floor. Her knees wracked with pain as a fiery ache shot up within them.
She gave a small groan before cracking open her eyes, wincing at the bright lights.
Hearing voices swimming above her, they were too loud for her tender ears to bear. "STOP IT!" she cried out. "STOP YELLING! STOP THE LIGHTS!"
Something had gone wrong with her spell, she realized as she slumped against the cool wall. She wanted back into the dark, warm place.. She couldn't stand the painful screaming and excruciatingly bright lights here.
Curling into a ball, Ally whimpered in hurt. She needed out of this place as fast as she could, it was slowly seeping away her life.
