Rini nodded. "I just can't understand why she would do this! She always stood strong for our cause." She said through small tears. She quickly wiped them away. She felt a strange aura descending upon the camp. She looked to Ally, then Niki. "Do you feel something?" She asked, her eyes shifting, trying to locate what she sensed.

Suddenly the earth shook and a splitting boom could be heard, and it was quickly followed by a bright flash of lightning, and that was the only signal those in the camp below were given before a torrential rain began to fall.
Altan stood, the rain hitting him feeling like thousands of little needles piercing his skin, and yet still no reaction came from him save for a small, cold smile as he watched stragglers in the camp below become instantly drenched and csome of the smaller tents collapse under the weigh of the rain that had suddenly started building up atop them.
His weather spell it seems, had been a success, as much as he hated to resport to such tactics...His master would be very pleased.

Ally took a deep breath, preparing to tell Rini. "It's because-- WHAT THE HELL?!"
Rain and lightning suddenly crashed upon the camp, immediately soaking the three teenage girls. "WHAT'S GOING ON?? THIS IS THE DRY SEASON!" Ally screamed, trying to be heard by the wide-eyed halflings in the sudden and enormous downpour.
"The tent! It's caving in Rini!! GET YOUR SUPPLIES!!!!"

Rini responded, grabbing her backpack and some food, and her weapons. She darted into the other tents, Grabbing Niki's supplies and an extra pack for Ally. "Lets go!" She screamed above the roar, grabbing the two other girls and running from the camp. High ground... high ground... She thought as she ran.
They had reached the top of the hill. "We'll have to go on our own..." She whispered. She then caught a small scent. She followed the trail down a little, and found a pound mark, about the shape of a staff in the ground. "A wizard." She whispered. being Wolves, she and Niki could track expertly. She took another sniff. "This way." She whispered, following the trail of flattened grass, trying to ignore the sharp rain.

Ally's eyes were wide. What was happening? This had to be some sort of cause.. Some reason.. She noticed the staff mark that Rini had pointed out and quickly ran to catch up with Rini and the other girl.
Suddenly, she stopped cold. "I-I have to go b-back," Ally stuttered, her face blanched white and her eyes terrified. "I HAVE TO GO BACK!"
She began running as fast as possible to get back to her family. Her mother was sick and frail and couldn't leave bed. Her father was dead. Sammy was somewhere, reporting the whereabouts of the halflings.
Quickly sliding to a halt in the mud where her tent used to be, Ally screamed. "MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!! MOTHER, COME BACK! I NEED TO FIND YOU!!!!!!!!!!!"
She frantically began tearing through bushes and trees, desperately trying to locate where their tent, all of their belongings, and her dear mother were.

Altan continued to watch the tents collapse withing the halfling camp below. Truthfully he couldn't care less which of them survived and which didn't, though at one time, he knew he would have cared greatly, would have grieved for each and every death that would occur there due to the rain and the lack of supplies that would be left afterwards.
However now, in his present state, his purging rain was merely entertainment for him, and a tool for those that he had allowed to use him and his abilities. It was rather sad that this was the path that the empath had chosen, closing off his heart and emotions to stop from feeling the pain and sadness of those around him....but the world had just been so loud and so...tormented. There hadn't been any other way.
Now it was time for part to of his master's plan and so, without a moment's hesitation, he vanished, reappearing in the heart of the camp, and stringing up his chosen targets upon trees. He ignored their screams and struggling and found himself tightening their bonds everytimes they resisted and tried to free themselves from the enevitable...their deaths.
Then he heard and voice, turned, saw the one he had been searching for and let his lips quirk upward into a smirk. "Oh, are you looking for this?" he asked, gesturing to the girl's mother, his face expressionless and voice cold and nearly toneless.

Rini tried to grab Ally's hand, but couldn't. "ALLY! DON'T!" But she was to late, the elf was already slipping down the mud. I'll have to come back to this trail later, find the wizard. She thought as she took Niki's hand and followed ally's trail.
She finally arrived at the clearing, and her eyes widened. she stopped behind a bush, pulling Niki down. "Shh." She whispered, peering through the bushes, invisible to those in the clearing.

Briefly wondering what was going on with Rini, Ally weaved frantically around all possible locations for the missing tent.
"Where could it be?!" she whimpered, digging uselessly through the mud.
"WHERE COULD IT BE?!?!" she shrieked, an awful noise splitting and echoing through the chorus of falling rain.
"What's happened to Daith? What's happening to everything?" she cried out to nobody in particular.
"What's happening to me.." she whispered, curling up in a ball like she did when she was smaller. Anything to ease the pangs shooting throughout her body.. Anything to escape..

Someone screamed out in rage as he spoke and, as if that were his cue, he snapped his fingers and his staff glower. Then it was a mere matter of seconds before the agonized screams of dying halflings could be heard as the restraings that he had magically bound them with began to tighten and spill their blood, killing them slowly, agonizingly.
However, for just a moment his eyes clouded over with a strange mist and he looked up at the sky, unbothered by the rain, the pain of which, didn't seem to affect him at all, even when it struckk his eyes.
A flash of white came then, he thought he saw it...or had it just been his mind trying to lash out, his sould trying to break free from its bindings...the voices of those long dead and those soon to be deceased trying to get in once more. He frowned and watched, the white blob morphed into a dove, a sign of peace, and as it flew, his rain struck it and sliced through its body as though each droplet were a tiny razor slicing it.
A silent cry issued forth from the creatures beak before it plummeted, dissolving into thin air just before it's battered and bloody body struck the ground. Perhaps it was his mind, perhaps it was an omen of things to come....or perhaps it was both. Who was to know?...no one, but if he lived long enough, then he would surely find out soon enough. Already the war had begun and he knew he would have to wait long to see where all of the signs would lead.

Suddenly, a faint cry was heard as a white dove crashed to the ground. Ally stared at the bird, her eyes huge and her mouth dropped.
It seemed that rain had shot through the compact bird's body, and Ally reached out to touch it.
Her hand was close to hitting the bird's feathery white chest before a voice spoke.
"I wouldn't touch that dove if I were you."
Ally jumped and looked around wildly. "W-who's there?!"

((okay I'm taking the cue this time and hoping you won't edit it like last time ^^; ...at any rate, let the games begin.))
Altan's golden eyes had followed the birds descent and had unclouded when it disappeared and then reappeared less than a split second later. 'What the....?' his thought was caught off as a girl approached it. Suddenly he grew protective, his eyes narrowed and he spoke in a cold, dark voice. "I wouldn't touch that dove if I were you," he said to her, expression unchanging even when she asked who was there.
No instead of smiling at her tone, he stepped from the shadows from here he had killed and moved forward before kneeling down and setting his staff down in the mud so that he could pick up the wounded dove. "Poor soul, don't you think?" he asked Ally as he looked up at her, his strange golden eyes locking on to hers as he spoke.

Entranced by the gold orbs in front of her, Ally stared deep into his eyes.
Quickly snapping herself out of her daze after realizing that she had been staring, she glanced at the dove before frowning at the strange man in front of her.
"So you can pick up the dove, but since I'm just a weak little Elf, I can't touch something as divine as a bird?!" Ally's voice rose slightly, her temper kicking in.
Before he was able to stop her, Ally's hand shot out, and she grabbed the bird with amazing gentleness. She cradled the bird's dead body before looking up and sneering at the man.
"That wasn't too hard, now was it? Here's your precious bird," she tipped her hand so that the body rolled into his outstreched palm.
She started to turn and walk away, but sensed that it wasn't the best idea, so she halted, but remained with her back towards him.

Rini silently krept into the bushes behind the warlock. He's strong, I can tell. She thought. She hoped Niki would stay put, or at least stay safe. She intended to jump the man, holding him down as best as she could. She knew it wouldn't last long, but she had to get revenge. He's killing my pack. She thought angrily. I hope everyone gets out safely. She thought, though she knew this to be wishful thinking as she heard the howls of hurt wolves.
Rini silently morphed into wolf form, her dagger sharp teeth ready to rip into the mans soft flesh. He'll pay for what he has done. She thought angrily, her strong muscles ready to spring.

Ally suddenly lurched forward and flung herself in front of the strange man as Rini was about to attack him so she landed on her instead.
Blinking in utter shock, Ally looked down. "I didn't do that!" she cried, her voice high and startled. "I didn't move myself!"
She realized that ruby red droplets were oozing out of several holes that had been newly punctured in her body. Her feeling suddenly returned her, and she cried out in pain.
Glancing slightly back, wincing at the sting that shot through her body, she noticed the man smirking at her.
Pushing Rini back off of her, Ally stood up, tripping slightly out of the dizzying pain of being jumped by a wolf. She glared at the man, raised her white hand, and slapped him across the face before promptly turning and dragging Rini away with her, this time not stopping.

Rini dug her heels into the dirt. "NO." She said insistantly, pulling the elf to the ground. She qucikly licked the girls wounds, trying to stop the bleeding. "I have to fight him." She said softly, glareing at him with angry, blood red eyes. "You stay here." she said, walking towards the strange man. She glared at him. "You do know I intend to kill you, correct." She said, her hackles high and her teeth shining in the moon light.
